Everyday, countless children struggle academically in school and don’t receive the help they need. Many schools try to help their students out, but due to several unavoidable limitations, they are not able to assist the children to the extent that is needed. Because of this, several students lose hope in succeeding at school, and stop putting their effort, or worse, drop out of school. To counter this problem, Sewa International started the ASPIRE program. Several volunteers go to schools throughout the week to give after-school assistance to hundreds of children across the country.
Sewa started the ASPIRE program several years ago in the USA. Since then, it has spread to several cities. ASPIRE mainly focuses on helping the less privileged schools so that the less privileged children acquire better opportunities. Schools have seen significant improvements in student performance and engagement. They have expressed immense gratitude towards the ASPIRE program and its volunteers.
Recently, the ASPIRE program was initiated in the Bay Area in the Palo Alto area. They ran a trial program in the summer of 2019, which proved to be very successful. For example, many students who abhorred school gained interesting in attending school. The school was extremely thankful for the help. The ASPIRE program wants to expand to more schools around the Bay Area so that more disadvantaged children receive the aid they need and deserve.
Please help underprivileged kids get strong and needed support which will help them succeed in school, ultimately bringing a brighter future for the upcoming generations, and everyone!
