Our special guest will be Dr. Mohit Gambhir Adjunct Prof of practice, IIT Jodhpur and President & CEO of Verispire Corp. USA.
Dr. Mohit Gambhir is the former founder Director, innovation cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India. He is known for doing phenomenal work in promoting innovation ecosystem across the country through various path-breaking initiatives. He has vast experience in the International Patents (IP) and patents domain by virtue of channelizing companies from scratch and building them into a big corporation. In the past he has worked with organizations like CDAC, CPA global, Thomson Reuters and developed a lot of models across the innovation space.
Working as Innovation Director he has launched many programs like Smart India hackathon, IICs, YUKTI 2.0, KAPILA etc. All of which are having direct or indirect impact on more than million lives across the country. Even during the pandemic time, he along with his team implemented Worlds’ first virtual online hackathon which saw participation of more than 10000+ participants.
He is a senior member of IEEE and has also received multiple International and National awards in recognition of his contributions in the Innovation & entrepreneurial ecosystem. He has been instrumental in establishing 7000 + Innovation Councils in the country that are strengthening the innovation ecosystem at grass root level across the nation. He spearheaded many International programs like Singapore India hackathon, ASEAN India hackathon and Toy hackathon to name a few. He is member of various high level ministerial committees, govt of India. Most recently, he has been appointed as a vice-chair of RuTag committee led by PSA to PMO, Govt of India.
